Bauchi Deputy Governor Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Judicial Reforms

The Bauchi State Government has restated its unwavering commitment to strengthening the judicial system as part of its broader drive to promote good governance and uphold the rule of law.
Deputy Governor Muhammad Auwal Jatau, representing Governor Bala Mohammed at the 2025/2026 Legal Year Commencement Ceremony held at the State High Court Complex, emphasized that justice sector reforms remain a top priority for the administration.
“A functional and well-equipped judiciary is essential for peace, rights protection, and accountability. We will continue to invest in infrastructure, training, and welfare of judicial officers to build public confidence,” Jatau declared.
He noted that the executive arm is determined to deepen collaboration with the judiciary to fast-track reforms and address institutional challenges affecting justice delivery.
Earlier, the Chief Judge of Bauchi State, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar, commended the Bala Mohammed-led administration for its consistent support to the judiciary and urged stakeholders to sustain the momentum.
