Governor Bala Mohammed: Triple Awards, Collective Effort, and Renewed Commitment

End-of-Year Extraordinary SEC Meeting in Bauchi State

As 2025 draws to a close, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to service, sacrifice, and sustainable development. Presiding over the end-of-year extraordinary State Executive Council (SEC) meeting at the Executive Chambers, the Governor emphasized that governance is about putting people first—even when it means working beyond regular hours.

Triple Awards, Shared Success

Governor Bala Mohammed proudly announced that his administration has received three prestigious awards from the Presidency and the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS):

Best Performing Governor in Rural Infrastructure

Best Performing Governor in Urban Renewal Projects

Good Governance and Regional Growth Award

He stressed that these honors are not personal achievements but the result of collective effort by SEC members. “The recent awards were possible with your support,” he said, noting that the recognition demonstrates Bauchi State’s commitment to people-oriented programs and policies.

Reflection and Stock-Taking

The Governor reminded the Council that the end of the year is a time for reflection. Heads of ministries, departments, and agencies must evaluate their performance and ensure promises to citizens are being fulfilled.

“Today is Saturday, you were supposed to be resting and having time for yourselves, but we are here for the sake of the people of Bauchi State,” he remarked, underscoring the importance of sacrifice in governance.

Empowering Citizens

A major highlight of the meeting was the approval of guidelines for recruiting 10,000 youths and women. This initiative is designed to reduce unemployment, empower families, and strengthen the state’s economy.

A Season of Joy and Service

With Christmas approaching, Governor Bala Mohammed urged the Council to focus on initiatives that bring joy and hope to citizens. He expressed gratitude for the sacrifices of SEC members and assured that ongoing projects will be completed and delivered for public use.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to:

Expanding opportunities for youth and women

Deepening rural and urban development

Ensuring sustainable growth and development across the state

Conclusion

Governor Bala Mohammed’s message was clear: the triple awards are a collective victory, a reflection of Bauchi State’s progress, and a reminder that governance is about people, sacrifice, and vision. As 2026 approaches, his administration remains focused on delivering promises and transforming lives.
