As 2025 drew to a close, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, held a series of engagements with youths from Duguri across six districts. The gatherings were designed to foster dialogue, strengthen trust, and ensure that young people remain central to the state’s development agenda.

In Duguri, the Governor welcomed youths from surrounding communities, listening to their concerns, suggestions, and aspirations. He emphasized the critical role of young people in building peace, unity, and prosperity. His administration, he assured, will continue to prioritize youth-focused initiatives in:

Education – expanding access to quality schools and scholarships

Employment – creating jobs and vocational training opportunities

Agriculture – supporting farmers with modern tools and resources

Small-scale enterprises – boosting entrepreneurship and local businesses

This meeting followed earlier interactions where the Governor reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance. By engaging directly with Duguri youths, he reinforced the idea that government policies are most effective when shaped by the voices of the people they serve.

The youths expressed appreciation for the Governor’s attention and pledged their continued support for his administration. Their optimism reflects a shared belief that sustainable development is achievable when leaders and citizens work hand in hand.

These engagements highlight a growing trend in Nigerian politics: leaders stepping beyond formal settings to connect directly with communities. For Duguri, it’s more than a courtesy call — it’s a recognition that their voices matter in shaping the future of Bauchi State.  End
