Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has convened an Expanded Security Council Meeting, bringing together top security chiefs, traditional rulers, and critical stakeholders to review the state’s security situation and strengthen collaborative governance.

The high-level meeting, held at the Government House, Bauchi, underscored the administration’s firm commitment to inclusive security management, peacebuilding, and sustainable development across the state.

Governor Mohammed emphasized that traditional institutions remain indispensable partners in safeguarding communities, stressing that peace and stability are foundational to effective governance and development. He reaffirmed his administration’s policy of working closely with emirs, chiefs, and community leaders to address security challenges at the grassroots level.

Speaking against the backdrop of ongoing administrative reforms and governance restructuring, the Governor condemned criminal activities, degradation, illegal land transactions, and other destabilizing practices, pledging continuous collaboration with security agencies and traditional authorities to combat such threats.

The Governor also reiterated his government’s resolve to maintain proactive security measures, strengthen intelligence sharing, and ensure that Bauchi State remains peaceful and conducive for economic growth and social progress.
