Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – January 25, 2026
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has reaffirmed that education, skills, and human capital development remain the driving force behind the partnership between the Gombe State Government and Lincoln University Malaysia.
The Governor made this clear during a welcome dinner hosted in his honour by the leadership of Lincoln University Malaysia, part of his ongoing official visit to the country.
In his remarks, Governor Yahaya explained that the collaboration with Lincoln University is not just about expanding access to higher education, but also about strengthening skills acquisition and building the human capital needed to drive sustainable socio-economic development in Gombe State.
He emphasized his administration’s commitment to implementing the partnership in line with international best practices, ensuring that the initiative delivers measurable and long-term benefits to the people of Gombe.
The President and Founder of Lincoln University, Professor Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, joined by Chancellor Professor Norman Madsen, Pro-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hajia Bibi Abdullah Florina, and CEO of Lincoln University Nigeria, Dr. Murtadho Alao, praised Governor Yahaya’s leadership and steadfast support.
They described the Gombe-Lincoln collaboration as a forward-looking model for strengthening higher education and fostering global academic cooperation.
The dinner also brought together key dignitaries, including Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to Malaysia, Ambassador Sani Danlami, alongside members of the Gombe State delegation.
