Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, led the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Area (LGA) Congress in Gombe on Saturday, reaffirming the party’s unity, strength, and readiness for the 2027 elections.
Held at the Idi Primary School premises, the congress witnessed a smooth and peaceful conduct, reflecting the maturity and cohesion of the APC at the grassroots level. Governor Inuwa Yahaya, speaking to party faithful, reiterated his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that the APC remains solid, disciplined, and focused on delivering good governance to Nigerians.
Highlighting the party’s impressive record of performance and growing grassroots support, Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed confidence that the APC is poised for a decisive victory in the upcoming 2027 elections at all levels. He also commended party members and stakeholders for their unity, discipline, and steadfast commitment to consolidating the APC across the state.
“The peaceful and orderly conduct of this congress reflects the strength and internal democracy of our party. APC remains the most formidable political platform in Nigeria, and these congresses will further strengthen our structures and deepen our democracy,” the Governor emphasized.
The chairman of the State, LGA, and Ward Congresses Committee, Dr. Danjuma Dabo, revealed that the congress adopted a consensus arrangement after extensive consultations to promote unity, stability, and cohesion. He described the exercise as transparent and orderly, applauding party leaders and members for their cooperation, which he said was key to the success of the event.
Similarly, Hon. Ado Umar, the Supervisor of the Gombe LGA Congress, confirmed that all rules and procedures were strictly adhered to, resulting in the successful adoption of new party officials through the consensus method.
The congress drew party elders, leaders, and members from all eleven wards of Gombe Local Government Area, while parallel exercises were conducted across other local government areas in the state.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya reassured members that APC-led governments at both state and federal levels would continue implementing people-centered policies aimed at improving the welfare and living standards of citizens, urging supporters to remain committed to the ideals of the party.
