Governor Inuwa Yahaya Dismisses Four Aides Over Assault on Shamaki Ward Councillor

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, conveyed the Governor’s directive, stressing that the disengagement takes effect immediately. All affected officers have been instructed to hand over government property in their possession without delay.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has taken decisive action following the reported assault on Hon. Abdulrahman Abubakar Sheriff, Councillor representing Shamaki Ward in Gombe Local Government Area. 

After a special committee investigated the incident and corroborated findings with security agencies, the Governor approved the immediate disengagement of four aides implicated in the matter. 

The Dismissed Aides are Adamu Abdullahi Danko, Senior Special Assistant II, Domestic 

Garba Mohammed Mai Race, misconduct, and abuse of office, emphasizing that any action capable of threatening public peace or undermining confidence in government will not be condoned. 

He assured the people of Gombe State of his government’s unwavering commitment to Upholding the rule of law,ensuring,accountability 

Promoting peaceful coexistence.

The Governor further noted that decisive measures will always be taken to safeguard public order and sustain the state’s hard-earned stability. 

This move underscores the administration’s determination to maintain discipline and protect democratic institutions at the grassroots level. By swiftly addressing misconduct, Governor Yahaya sends a strong message that violence and abuse of office have no place in governance. End
