Prof. Pate Free Medical Outreach Team: Transforming Healthcare Access in Bauchi and Beyond

The Prof. Pate Free Medical Outreach Team has successfully hosted the Nationwide Annual Conference of the Coalition of Professional Health Volunteers Association of Nigeria here in Bauchi. The event was not only educational but also entertaining, leaving participants inspired and motivated to continue serving humanity. 

Impact So Far

Under the leadership of Comr. Yusuf Aliyu Fada, the outreach team has touched the ilives of over 5,000 people, especially vulnerable members of society, through free medical services. Some of the highlights include: 

– Kirfi Town Maternity & Sarkin Kirfi Palace: Free Hepatitis B screening and vaccination 

– Central Market Bauchi & Railway Market Bauchi: Free medical consultations and services 

Ibrahim Tahir Government Model Primary & Secondary School: Sensitization workshop on breast and cervical cancer for women teachers 

Magama Gumau, Toro LGA: Cervical cancer screening (Pap smear), breast examination, and HPV vaccination 

These initiatives are saving lives, raising awareness, and empowering communities with knowledge about preventive healthcare. 

Looking Ahead

The team is setting its sights higher: reaching 10,000 people across 20 LGAs of Bauchi State in the first quarter of 2026. To achieve this ambitious goal, the outreach team is appealing to the Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, for financial support. 

The outreach team proudly commends: 

Prof. Ali Pate: For revitalizing thousands of PHCs, introducing free Caesarean Sections, subsidizing kidney dialysis by 86%, offering free emergency medical services within the first 48 hours, and appointing two of our members. His leadership has significantly reduced maternal and neonatal mortality rates in Nigeria. 

Prof. Jibrin Yusuf Bara (CMD, ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi): For elevating ATBU Teaching Hospital to national recognition as the best DHIS2 utilization hospital in Nigeria. 

Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad (Executive Governor of Bauchi State): For employing 10,000 youth in Bauchi State, with hopes that outreach members will also be considered. 

In appreciation, the Prof. Pate Free Medical Outreach Team presented an Award of Excellence to Prof. Ali Pate, while also calling on Mr. President to continue supporting his effective service delivery for Nigeria.
