My dear brothers and sisters,I commend the Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association (ACIPA) for their courageous condemnation of the recent killings of innocent travellers in Barki-Ladi and for standing in solidarity with the affected Hausa/Muslim families. When Christian leaders speak firmly against the killing of Muslim citizens, it sends a powerful message that human life is sacred beyond religion or ethnicity. This is the spirit of unity our nation desperately needs. This is the Plateau we must continue to build — one founded on peace, justice, and mutual respect.I call on our communities not to allow criminals and enemies of peace to divide us. We must strengthen the growing understanding between Muslims and Christians and firmly reject cycles of retaliation and violence. We also urge security agencies to swiftly identify, apprehend, and prosecute those responsible for this barbaric act, so that justice may serve as a deterrent to future atrocities.May Allah (SWT) guide us toward peace, unity, and lasting harmony.Peace must prevail in the Plateau.Sani Mu’azuMakama of Jos North
