BAUCHI — The Special Adviser to the Governor of Bauchi State on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Muhammad Gidado, has distributed Android smartphones to selected journalists and social media practitioners as part of efforts to support their work and encourage professionalism in the media sector.The presentation took place on Friday at the Government House Bauchi, where six beneficiaries received the communication devices.The recipients included three members of the Correspondents Chapel, two social media practitioners, and one staff member working within the Government House media team.Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Gidado explained that the initiative forms part of a monthly support programme initiated by his office to assist staff and media practitioners working closely with the Government House.According to him, the programme is aimed at motivating media personnel and enhancing their capacity to effectively perform their professional responsibilities.“This is part of our commitment to continuously support those working within and around the media space who contribute to disseminating accurate information to the public,” he said.The media adviser also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his consistent support for journalists and the media community across the state.He commended media practitioners for their role in promoting government programmes and policies aimed at informing and educating the public.Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Malam Nasiru and Malama Sumayya Abubakar expressed appreciation for the gesture and offered prayers for Allah’s continued guidance, protection, and success for the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed.
