Senior Special Assistant on Communication to the Governor of Bauchi State
In a decisive move aimed at consolidating the gains of his administration and reinvigorating the machinery of government, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, FNIPR (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), has approved a strategic adjustment to the composition of the State Executive Council.
The cabinet changes, which take immediate effect, reflect the Governor’s unwavering determination to strengthen governance, improve institutional efficiency, and accelerate the delivery of quality services to the people of Bauchi State.
As part of the reshuffle, the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Investment, Mohammed Salis Gamawa, and the immediate past Commissioner for Education, who was subsequently redeployed to the Ministry of Power, Science and Technology, Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam, have exited the State Executive Council.
Governor Bala Mohammed has also accepted the resignation of the former Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties, Hon. Faruk Mustapha.
In keeping with his administration’s commitment to continuity, stability, and effective governance, the Governor has transmitted the names of their proposed replacements, along with other nominees to fill vacancies created by the earlier exit of some commissioners, to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in accordance with constitutional provisions.
Governor Bala Mohammed expressed deep appreciation to the outgoing commissioners for their dedicated service, professionalism, and contributions to the implementation of his administration’s policies and programmes.
He acknowledged their commitment to the collective vision of building a prosperous and inclusive Bauchi State and wished them greater success in their future endeavours.
The Governor reaffirmed that the adjustments are part of a broader strategy to strengthen public institutions, inject renewed energy into governance, and ensure that every arm of government remains focused on delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people.
He assured the citizens of Bauchi State that his administration remains resolute in pursuing policies and reforms that promote transparency, accountability, inclusive growth, and sustainable development across all sectors.
