In his acceptance speech, Governor Yahaya described the honour as a validation of ideals rooted in knowledge, service, and cross-border partnership. Drawing parallels between Nigeria and Malaysia, he highlighted their shared post-colonial resilience and praised Malaysia’s transformation into a multicultural knowledge economy as an inspiration for Nigeria’s own development journey.
