The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has stepped up preparations for the 2027 general elections in Bauchi State with the formal presentation of Hon. Yakubu Adamu PhD as its governorship candidate and Hon. Mahmood Babamaji Abubakar as his running mate.
The unveiling ceremony, attended by party stakeholders, supporters, and political allies from across the state, marked what many described as a major political consolidation ahead of the next electoral cycle.The development followed the successful conclusion of the party’s primary elections, which produced candidates for various elective offices.

One of the key outcomes of the exercise was the emergence of Bala Mohammed as the party’s senatorial candidate for Bauchi South.Addressing supporters after his confirmation, Hon. Yakubu Adamu pledged to consolidate on ongoing developmental strides in the state, stressing the importance of continuity, inclusive governance, and people-focused leadership.

He said the journey toward 2027 would require unity, sacrifice, and collective commitment from party members and supporters, urging all stakeholders and former aspirants to work together for the success of the party.According to him, the APM is determined to provide leadership capable of sustaining infrastructural development, expanding economic opportunities, empowering youths, and improving social welfare across Bauchi State.APM State Chairman, Auwal Isah, thanked residents for their growing confidence in the party, describing the increasing support as a reflection of public trust in the APM’s vision and direction.
He called on citizens to remain committed and mobilize support for all APM candidates, noting that the 2027 elections would play a defining role in shaping the political and economic future of Bauchi State.Speaking at the gathering, Bala Mohammed commended party loyalists for their steadfast support and urged them to extend the same solidarity and cooperation to the newly unveiled candidates and the entire APM structure across the state.
The event ended on a note of renewed confidence among party members, with party leaders expressing optimism that the APM is steadily positioning itself as a formidable political force ahead of the 2027 governorship contest in Bauchi State.
