Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has described the National Chairman of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, as a political leader with the potential to assume greater responsibilities in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Governor Mohammed made the remarks in Abuja during the celebration of Dantalle’s 55th birthday, an occasion that attracted prominent political figures, party stakeholders, family members, friends and associates from across the country.
Among the dignitaries who attended the celebration were the APM presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his running mate, Alhaji Lawal Daura, alongside other political leaders who joined the celebrant to mark the milestone.
Speaking at the event, Governor Bala Mohammed paid tribute to Dantalle’s political journey, acknowledging his years of commitment, perseverance and contributions to party leadership.
The Governor observed that the celebrant had travelled a considerable distance in his political career, expressing confidence that his experience and dedication could prepare him for greater responsibilities in the years ahead.
He particularly commended Dantalle’s humility, steadfastness and leadership disposition, describing these qualities as important attributes for anyone entrusted with political responsibility.
Governor Mohammed further emphasised the significance of consistency, dedication and collective responsibility in strengthening political institutions and addressing the challenges confronting Nigeria.
His remarks underscored the need for political leaders to place national development, unity and public service at the centre of their engagements.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for prominent members of the Allied Peoples Movement to interact outside their regular political engagements, reflecting on the importance of cooperation and shared responsibility within the party.
In his closing remarks, the celebrant, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Alhaji Lawal Daura and other distinguished guests for honouring him with their presence.
Dantalle described the show of solidarity and goodwill as deeply encouraging, thanking his family, friends, political associates and supporters for their prayers and continued support.
He used the occasion to emphasise the importance of unity, cooperation and collective determination in addressing Nigeria’s numerous challenges.
According to the APM National Chairman, meaningful progress can only be achieved when Nigerians work together, rise above their differences and embrace a common commitment to peace, stability and national development.
The birthday celebration, beyond its social significance, brought together key figures in the APM leadership at a time when political parties are intensifying consultations and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
For Dantalle, the occasion marked not only the attainment of 55 years but also an opportunity to reflect on his political journey, acknowledge the support of associates and reaffirm his commitment to collective leadership and national development.
