Bauchi – Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to advancing higher education, academic excellence, and human capital development in Bauchi State.
The Governor made the commitment while attending an academic ceremony where he interacted with distinguished scholars, university officials, and members of the academic community. The event brought together intellectuals, education stakeholders, and government officials to celebrate excellence in teaching, research, and service to society.
Governor Bala Mohammed noted that education remains one of the strongest pillars of sustainable development, stressing that his administration will continue to invest in educational infrastructure, staff development, research, and policies that improve access to quality learning across the state.
He commended the contributions of universities and other tertiary institutions in producing skilled manpower capable of driving economic growth and social transformation. According to him, government and academic institutions must continue to work in partnership to address contemporary challenges through innovation, research, and knowledge sharing.
The Governor also acknowledged the invaluable role of scholars in shaping future generations, describing educators as indispensable partners in the state’s development agenda.
The academic community, in turn, appreciated the Governor’s sustained support for education and his administration’s efforts to strengthen institutions of learning, improve educational facilities, and create an enabling environment for academic excellence.
Governor Bala Mohammed reiterated that his government would remain focused on policies and programmes that empower young people through quality education, skills acquisition, and innovation, describing investment in education as an investment in the future prosperity of Bauchi State.
The event further highlighted the strong relationship between the Bauchi State Government and academic institutions in promoting research, innovation, and inclusive development for the benefit of the people of the state.
