The political landscape of Bauchi State recorded another significant realignment as former member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon. Garba Musa Kore, defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and was formally received by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.
Kore, a grassroots politician from Zaki Local Government Area, previously represented Sakwa District Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly and has remained active in the political affairs of the area.
Until his latest political move, the former lawmaker was associated with the APC and recently served as Director-General of the campaign organisation of the party’s candidate during a local government bye-election.
His defection brings another politician with legislative experience and grassroots mobilisation credentials into the APM as political activities and party realignments continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Governor Bala Mohammed welcomed Hon. Garba Musa Kore into the APM, acknowledging his decision to identify with the party and its political platform.
Also present to receive the former lawmaker were the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State and APM candidate for Bauchi North Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Auwal Jatau; the APM governorship candidate, Dr. Yakubu Adamu; and the Director-General of the APM Campaign Organisation, alongside other party stakeholders.
The presence of the party’s leading figures at the reception highlighted the significance attached to Kore’s entry into the APM as political alignments continue to evolve across Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 elections.
