Former Governor of Gombe State and serving Senator representing Gombe Central Senatorial District, Danjuma Goje, has dismissed as fake the alleged APC primary election results currently circulating on social media. The disputed results, reportedly linked to Dr. Habu Dahiru’s camp, claimed that DCP Mohammed Ahmed scored 42,785 votes while Senator Goje secured 10,425 votes in the ongoing party election.Reacting to the development, Senator Goje, through his aide, Alhaji Ahmed Isa Kashere, stated that the results being circulated have no official basis and were never announced by the party authorities.According to him, the primary elections conducted in Akko and Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Areas on Monday are yet to be concluded officially, and no authentic results have been released. He accused certain media platforms and social media users of spreading false and misleading information aimed at causing confusion among party supporters. The statement urged APC members, supporters, and residents of the constituency to remain calm and disregard what it described as “baseless and fabricated election results.”“On behalf of Senator Danjuma Goje, we advise the people of Gombe Central Senatorial District, including Akko and Yamaltu-Deba, to ignore the fake results being circulated by enemies of the APC,” the statement read. The aide further explained that the official results of the election would be announced by the national leadership of the APC at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.Senator Goje also appealed to his supporters to remain patient and law-abiding while awaiting the formal declaration of the election outcome. As a senior political figure and advocate of due process, Senator Goje reiterated his commitment to following the rules and regulations guiding the APC primary elections. He therefore called on the public to wait for the authentic and officially declared results.
