SSA Communication to the Governor of Bauchi State

Bauchi State Governor and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has urged party stakeholders to unite and mobilise support for the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He made the call at a stakeholders’ engagement organised by the APM Bauchi South Senatorial Campaign Directorate in Bauchi. The Governor expressed appreciation for what he described as the party’s growing acceptance among residents despite prevailing challenges.
Senator Mohammed said the political atmosphere reminded him of the First Republic, and stressed that unity, effective mobilisation and sustained grassroots engagement would be critical to the party’s success.
He explained that the meeting was convened to review campaign strategies, discuss operational arrangements and seek the continued support of party leaders and stakeholders, particularly for the Bauchi South senatorial campaign.
The Governor welcomed the attendance of APM candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly, as well as the party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Yakubu Adamu. Other participants included the campaign Director-General, campaign directors, commissioners, advisers, local government chairmen and prominent stakeholders, including Senator Adamu Gumba and Kuyambanan Bauchi.
He commended party members for their campaign efforts at polling-unit, ward and district levels, as well as in major settlements across the state. He said the reception they had received from the public was encouraging.
Senator Mohammed also thanked stakeholders who had set aside personal differences and grievances to support the party’s candidates. He urged them to extend the same commitment to his senatorial campaign and Dr. Adamu’s governorship bid.
The Governor said he would personally take part in the campaign, adding that holding the engagement at the campaign office reflected his commitment to the electoral process.
He assured stakeholders that the campaign would reach every part of Bauchi State. Similar engagements, he said, would be organised in the other senatorial districts to strengthen mobilisation and address concerns at the grassroots.
Describing Bauchi State as the collective priority of the political movement, Senator Mohammed called for continuity through the election of Dr. Adamu as governor and the election of APM candidates to the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.
He said coordinated representation across the different levels of government would help sustain the administration’s development agenda and support the delivery of democratic dividends.
The Governor thanked the people of Bauchi State for the mandate given to his administration, saying their support had contributed to its achievements. He also emphasised the need to prepare younger leaders to take responsibility and build on the foundation laid by the present administration.
As part of efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the elections, Senator Mohammed disclosed plans to form small teams to engage stakeholders across local government areas, identify disagreements and resolve outstanding grievances.
He thanked participants for attending and called for constructive feedback, unity and continued commitment to the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
