Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has called on Muslims to use the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud to reflect on the virtues of peace, unity, compassion and love as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

 

The Governor made the call in a goodwill message to mark the celebration, urging the people of the state to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, tolerance and mutual understanding.

 

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the development of Bauchi State, noting that the government would continue to implement policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people and advancing the state.

 

Governor Mohammed also urged residents to remain law-abiding and avoid actions capable of undermining the prevailing peace, stressing that anyone found violating the law would face appropriate legal consequences.

 

Governor Mohammed thanked the people of Bauchi State for their continued support and cooperation with his administration and wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, blessed and hitch-free Eid-el-Maulud celebration.

 

He prayed for Almighty Allah’s continued guidance, protection and prosperity for Bauchi State and Nigeria.

 

The goodwill message was conveyed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
