The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, has continued to deepen the national engagement drive of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) with a high-level strategic visit to Oyo State, where he held discussions with Governor Seyi Makinde in Ibadan.
Governor Bala Mohammed, who led a delegation of senior APM leaders and stakeholders, described the engagement as part of efforts to promote national unity, strengthen democratic cooperation, and encourage constructive dialogue among political leaders across Nigeria.
The delegation included the National Chairman of APM, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantalle; Bauchi State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Auwal Isa; APM’s Bauchi State Governorship Candidate, Dr. Yakubu Adamu, PhD; his running mate, Hon. Mahmood Babamaji Abubakar; as well as other party officials and key stakeholders.
During the meeting with Governor Makinde, discussions focused on critical national issues, including security, economic development, effective governance, and the importance of collaboration among leaders in addressing the challenges facing Nigerians.
Governor Bala Mohammed emphasized that leadership in a diverse country like Nigeria requires unity of purpose, mutual respect, and a commitment to placing the interests of citizens above political differences.
According to him, democratic competition should not prevent leaders from working together to build peace, stability, and sustainable development.
The Bauchi Governor further reaffirmed APM’s commitment to promoting responsible leadership, inclusive governance, and people-oriented policies that improve the lives of Nigerians.
He stated that the party remains determined to provide credible alternatives through ideas, programmes, and engagements that support national progress.
Governor Bala Mohammed also commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his leadership style, describing him as a public servant whose commitment to governance and development has earned recognition beyond Oyo State.
The visit, observers noted, reflects APM’s growing effort to expand its national relevance through dialogue, partnership, and engagement with political stakeholders across the country.
The meeting also reinforced the message that Nigeria’s development requires cooperation, bridge-building, and collective action among leaders irrespective of political differences.
