The Village Head of Jaurowal in Pindiga Emirate, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, Ambassador Ibrahim Mu’azu Hassan, has appealed to governments at all levels, philanthropists, and development organizations to urgently provide basic social amenities to communities under his traditional leadership.

In an interview with our Reporter, the traditional ruler highlighted the pressing challenges facing the area, particularly the poor road network, inadequate healthcare facilities, and limited access to quality education.

Ambassador Mu’azu Hassan expressed deep concern over the condition of roads linking the communities, stating that the situation has had serious consequences, including the loss of lives. He revealed that at least five women have reportedly died while being transported for medical attention due to delays caused by difficult road conditions.

He appealed to the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Senator Danjuma Goje, and Usman Bello Kumo to intervene by addressing the infrastructural challenges affecting the communities.

The village head also raised concern over the abandonment of a Junior Secondary School project in the area, saying the project has remained incomplete for over seven years, leaving residents with limited opportunities for accessible and quality education.

According to him, Jaurowal Ward comprises about ten communities, including Garin Jauro Jibir, Labarfito, Dongoru Karama, Felawa Bakkiti, Fali, Lafiyawo, and Ardowu, among others.

Despite the size of the population and the communities’ contribution to the development of Akko Local Government Area, Ambassador Mu’azu Hassan said residents are yet to benefit significantly from development projects and democratic dividends.

He therefore called on government agencies, elected representatives, and well-meaning individuals to prioritize the area’s needs through targeted interventions in road construction, healthcare delivery, education, and other critical infrastructure.
