Young or old, whenever someone found themselves in difficulty within Bauchi metropolis and needed assistance, intervention or guidance, the home of Dan Dada Amadu was one of the places they could confidently turn to.
Over the years, he distinguished himself through his commitment to helping others and encouraging community members to embrace self-help initiatives and collective responsibility. He gave his time, energy and resources without tiring of the responsibility of serving humanity.
Today, however, the man who has been there for so many others needs others to be there for him.
Dan Dada Amadu is currently battling ill health and requires support, proper medical attention and care. This is a moment when government, community leaders, philanthropists, businesspeople and other well-meaning individuals should rally around a man who has spent a significant part of his life rallying around others.
We therefore make a passionate appeal to the Bauchi State Government to kindly look into the condition of Dan Dada Amadu and support efforts to ensure that he receives the quality medical treatment and care he urgently deserves.
We equally appeal to wealthy individuals, philanthropists, charitable organisations, community leaders and all people of goodwill to lend a helping hand.
A man who spent decades wiping away the tears of others should not be left alone when he needs a helping hand.
