BAUCHI – Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, has personally inspected the newly renovated Governor’s Residence within the Government House, Bauchi, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to excellence in public infrastructure and accountable governance.

During the inspection, the Governor toured the entire facility to evaluate the quality of the renovation, paying close attention to the finishing, structural improvements, and the functionality of the upgraded residence.

The extensive facelift has transformed the once-aging structure into a modern and befitting official residence equipped to support the responsibilities of the state’s highest office. The renovation included expanded living and meeting spaces, upgraded facilities, and modern installations designed to enhance official engagements, diplomatic receptions, and administrative efficiency.

Speaking during the inspection, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the standard of work executed and commended those involved in the project. He also charged the Ministry of Works and the contractors handling other government projects to sustain the same level of quality, professionalism, and timely delivery.

The Governor emphasized that every government project must deliver lasting value to the people, stressing that public infrastructure should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also functional, durable, and capable of serving its intended purpose.

The rehabilitation of the Governor’s Residence forms part of the Bala Mohammed administration’s broader infrastructure renewal agenda, which has seen significant investments in roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and public institutions across the 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi State.

As the administration continues to execute its development programmes, the Governor’s inspection reflects a leadership style rooted in supervision, accountability, and the pursuit of quality service delivery.
