The Emir of Talata Mafara, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Barmo, has described the late Permanent Secretary, General Services, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya Jalam, as a trusted friend and dedicated public servant whose exemplary life and immense contributions to society remain worthy of emulation.

 

The Emir stated this during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Bauchi. He was accompanied by the representative of the Emir of Bauchi, the Ajiyan Bauchi, Alhaji Bala Attahiru; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado; SSA Communications Abdulwahab Mohammed Director press Affairs Government House Bauchi Sulaiman Dambam as well as friends, associates, and other dignitaries.

 

Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Barmo described the late Shehu Yahaya Jalam as a man of honour, humility, and selfless service whose legacy would continue to inspire future generations.

 

The Emir urged members of the family to take solace in the exemplary life lived by the deceased, noting that death is an inevitable reality that every soul must face.

 

He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Permanent Secretary and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

 

Responding on behalf of the family, Waziri Jalam expressed appreciation to the Emir and members of his entourage for the condolence visit, describing the gesture as a source of comfort and encouragement during their moment of grief.

 

It could be recalled that the late Shehu Yahaya Jalam passed away in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the 2026 Hajj exercise after a brief illness. He is survived by two wives and nine children.
